Oh Sweet Baby Jesus! My first week of "weight loss" was not very productive. In fact I gained 5 pounds and no, that is not muscle. I went to the gym a few times over the past week and it was great! I felt great and I was trying so hard to keep going. I have always struggled with dieting and I am addicted to sugar. I have always been addicted to sugar, not carbs, I have always loved sugar, candy, cakes and frosting and I have never been able to control myself. I have struggled like a crack head to fight my urge to drop the sugar habit and nothing has worked for me. I know I must keep going and keep trying to fight the good fight against the sugar beast. I also did my BMI this week. I do not really like the BMI calculator because I do not feel as though it takes into account muscle and all that but I am going to share my BMI. I hope by sharing that others will not be ashamed of there weight or BMI. I have always been the girl who says my weight out loud and often again people don't "believe it", but I think its important to share.
Current weight 208
BMI- 32.6
Keep in mind this puts me in the "obesity" group. Although I do not feel like I am obese I have noticed that carrying around the extra weight has affect my energy level, breathing and I have been getting really bad head aches. Over the long winter I gained a solid 20 pounds and I have noticed that the way I move has become slower and the way I move has become a little harder.
Since I have been with my husband I have gained 44 pounds. I am lucky that my husband has always told me how attractive I am and that even though I feel sloppy and over weight he has always been supportive. I think having a good support network is important and it gives you the courage to keep pushing yourself.
So in closing I will keep going despite my 5 pound weight gain. This week I plan to keep my gym appointments I have made for myself and limit the sugar.
XOXO
Samantha
