E.L.F Disappointment

I am annoyed and disappointed! I LOVE my Makeup Forever HD setting powder and I have mentioned it in my past favorites but honestly I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I have seen awesome reviews for the HD setting powder made by E.L.F. I was not impressed with the packaging. I opened the box and took off the plastic cover, that day I used the powder was fine. The next day however when I went to open the container there was a mess everywhere. As a hair stylist I wear a lot of black and this shit got all over me! I was so annoyed with the powder being everywhere that I didn't even use the product. I'm sure it works great if you can get past the mess and horrible packaging... so that means I am still on the hunt for a hidef setting powder! Xoxo Samantha

Weight-loss Wednesday/ 4/22/15

Oh Sweet Baby Jesus! My first week of "weight loss" was not very productive. In fact I gained 5 pounds and no, that is not muscle. I went to the gym a few times over the past week and it was great! I felt great and I was trying so hard to keep going. I have always struggled with dieting and I am addicted to sugar. I have always been addicted to sugar, not carbs, I have always loved sugar, candy, cakes and frosting and I have never been able to control myself. I have struggled like a crack head to fight my urge to drop the sugar habit and nothing has worked for me. I know I must keep going and keep trying to fight the good fight against the sugar beast. I also did my BMI this week. I do not really like the BMI calculator because I do not feel as though it takes into account muscle and all that but I am going to share my BMI. I hope by sharing that others will not be ashamed of there weight or BMI. I have always been the girl who says my weight out loud and often again people d...

Fitness Fun: Getting Started

I am like many others when it comes to health and fitness. I start all excited and and ready to live a fit life. I follow my favorite fitness peeps on YouTube and Facebook, watching them exercise while I sit on the couch eating my chips. Keep in mind I am not a fitness expert WHATSOEVER! These series of post are simple my struggles and triumphs seeing to get healthy and fit. I have never been afraid to say how much a weigh out loud. Most of the time I get "no way you weigh that much", when in truth I do weigh that much. I am a lucky one where most of my weight goes everywhere! Not just in my ass...although I have a fat ass, which Matthew says he loves. I have always been good at covering up and making my weight work for me no matter how big or small I get. However even though I hear how great I look all the time, I do not feel great. I feel uncomfortable in my clothing, tired and slow. I also have a sugar addiction that I feel like I have little or no control over, at night...

Building your makeup collection

Many of us see all these fabulous woman on YouTube with these HUGE makeup collections. These woman seem to have every color of lipstick out there and piles of stuff. Let's be real, it takes YEARS! to get that much crap and most of us do not need that much stuff, however us girls need options! First of all I would get your everyday makeup foundation, brows, favorite blush, mascara and a nice lip color or gloss, concealer, these really are the "backbone" and core of your makeup collection. You also do not need to spend an arm and a leg on makeup product to have a great look. If you watch any Youtube or are Instagram many of the looks are created using some drug store products. Also price is not everything. I have spent a pretty penny on some items only to discover that some fora fraction of the cost works even better. So here are my tips for building your makeup collection. 1. Find out what kind of skin you have. Are you Oily, Dry or a combo. I have some parts of me that ...

March Favorites

This is a little late but hey, its here. March favorites. I was such a bump on a log in March. I blame it mostly on the shitty Maine weather. In fact we have snow on the ground as we speak which we got yesterday! So I have been wearing NYX Buttergloss in Tiramisu  almost every single day. I love the NYX Buttergloss's . I actually got mine at Target in a gift set so I got 3 for 6.99 when they normally are around 4.50 each. I bought every one they had on the shelf :) Also my Target now has NYX which is amazing because they are one of my favorite drug store makeup brands and they are so affordable! I have also been loving and using daily the Hardcandy Primer I mentioned in my last post. I require a primer when I do my makeup. I am extremely dry because of my eczema so using a primer over my face cream just give me the extra moisture. I also have notice that I am not as oily at the end of the day. I am in a salon with the dryers going and I am moving around so with some primers I b...
