New Wet N' Wild

First off let me say that my ass went to 6 stores looking for this product and finally found it at the third rite aid I went to... I am speaking about the newly launched wet and wild photo finish foundation, concealer, powder, and highlight and liquid lips. Let's be honest with the increased demand by consumers for more affordable dupes for high end product it was only a matter of time before wet and wild jumped on the band wagon....and I am happy they did!

 I hate to jump on a band wagon but in this case, I do not mind. I have in the past like many other makeup lovers bought some Wet N’ Wild product, its cheap and well I was young and had hardly any money (In fact one of favorite all time blushes is Wet N’ Wild)  there were some hits and some big misses.

However I believe in second chances…. This brings us to today.

After seeing the launch on Instagram (Sammiahoward if you want to add me, shameless promotion) and then seeing the rave reviews I knew I had to have it. 

With the price point ranging from 2.99-6.99 it was easy to pick up a few things and not completely break the bank.So the photo finish line promises that it is white cast free under 7 different lighting conditions and for those of us that like selfies know that having that stark white reflection on your under eye  can completely ruin a photo.

Let’s cut to the chase, I LOVED IT! The foundation is light weight but has a medium coverage that is build able. The concealer was my favorite! This thing cost 3.99 and covers like my high end concealer without feeling caking. I finished with the setting powder and  it looked flawless.  The face makeup is onpoint!

    My least favorite was the mascara. I did not like the brush it had that weird round ball at the end that makes it hard to coat your lashes. The formula was okay, but nothing to rave about.

There wasn't a very good shade selection in the store I finally found the product in and they also did not have the new high lighters, which made me sad. They do however have a good selection online… so should I dock points for that?

So in my opinion the new Wet N Wild photo finish line and new lipsticks are so great for the price point! I cannot wait to see what they in store for us this coming spring!

Thrift shopping

Thrift shopping can be the best and worst shopping experience in your life. You either find cool, trendy, unique and vintage pieces or you end up wasting your time shifting through clothes. I personally enjoy what I call the "hunt". Yes, while thrift shopping I feel like I am hunting for a rare animal! I always went to second hand stores as a child not because I wanted to but because my mom couldn't always afford new clothing. However it taught me that I could be dressed just as cool if not cooler than those who blew hundreds of dollars at the mall. E.L.F Disappointment

I am annoyed and disappointed! I LOVE my Makeup Forever HD setting powder and I have mentioned it in my past favorites but honestly I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I have seen awesome reviews for the HD setting powder made by E.L.F. I was not impressed with the packaging. I opened the box and took off the plastic cover, that day I used the powder was fine. The next day however when I went to open the container there was a mess everywhere. As a hair stylist I wear a lot of black and this shit got all over me! I was so annoyed with the powder being everywhere that I didn't even use the product. I'm sure it works great if you can get past the mess and horrible packaging... so that means I am still on the hunt for a hidef setting powder! Xoxo Samantha
