Brush Slut

I often get asked about what I used for makeup products or brushes, truth is I use something different almost every day. When I say ALMOST, I mean that, I have some things I use daily no matter what look I am going for but I also switch certain things up daily. Today we are going to focus on brushes. There are so many wonderful brush companies out there everything from E.L.F to Sigma or MAC. These brushes can cost a dollar to upwards of $25.00 dollars or more a piece.  So when I got an email saying I could get Morphe Brushes every month for $19.99 a month well that caught my attention.

Morphe Brushes is a great company. They have great products for a very reasonable price. I have been getting the monthly brushes for about 6 months now and let me tell you I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED! Lord when I got my first set I squealed like a little girl! The brushes were so soft and full, felt like heaven when I was applying my makeup.

My experience has been great so far, my first month I received 7 brushes. Over the past few months the amount of brushes I get varies from 3-7. The month I got 3 brushes one of the brushes was normally 25.00 on its own so I was not disappointed when I only received the 3. I also have not gotten ANY repeats over the past 7 months. They also have a new program so every month you are a member you earn reward points which you can spend on brands like Tarte, NYX, Beauty Blender, Gerard Cosmetics, and more.

So lets’ do the breakdown of my first month, pay 19.99 (this includes shipping) and get $31.33 (this price varied each month but it was ALWAYS over 30 dollars’ worth of brushes) worth of brushes.  Yes, I am in. I love getting monthly boxes because it is like Christmas.

This is also a good way for aspiring artist to build up there brush collection. Having good brushes makes it so your makeup application is smoother, you use less products and your overall makeup look will come out a million times better! Having good tools is important. You do not receive brushes you will not use which is another reason why I love getting these. You can also pause the membership whenever you want and then start back up when you are ready.

Last month I was in fluffy brush heaven! I cannot wait to see what I get next.

Start getting your brushes now!

Drug Store Foundations

THE BATTLE OF THE FINDING THE PERFECT FOUNDATION So for some odd reason I got it in my head that in the middle of winter with my skin being dry, flaky and breaking out would be the PERFECT time to try new foundations! So I grabbed my coupons and shopped at my local Walgreens and Rite Aid. Walking through the makeup section can be overbearing because there are so many different kinds of foundations on the market. You have full coverage, ageless, photo finish it can be a little annoying honestly. Over the last month or so I tried six different foundations which can all be found at your local drug store. Before we move on I should say that I don't like a luminous finish. I like my foundation and face to be overall matte. My skin right now is dry from it being winter but I also at times can look like I have an oil slick on my face. Each foundation I did use the Two Faced Hangover Primer. ...
