January Favorites

I hate the cold weather. Winter does not look good on me. It dries my skin out, dries my hair and I hate cleaning off my car. As I am writing this Maine is getting a record breaker storm right now. My ass is not going to shovel all this and may stay inside until it melts. Anyways these are some products that I have been LOVING this month.

Ill start off with this AMAZING line of face products I received from an awesome friend of mine. My skin has been breaking out so bad! I have been using these products for about 5 weeks and it has cleared my skin. Not only is my skin clear but this stuff smells like heaven! My two favorites in this line is the DayDream BodyWorks Papaya Enzyme Cleanser and the Papaya Enzyme Toner. Both smell amazing! Even the toner which to me is super hard to have a toner actually smell amazing and not like alcohol. These both can be found at DayDream BodyWorks in Portland, Maine.

The next two products are both from BH Cosmetics. I have been using there contour kit daily. This is such a great alternative to the Anastasia Beverley Hills kit and about 60% less. I got mine from there website for about 11 bucks. I have also been loving this matte light pink shade from there Glamorous Blush palette. I have been using this color almost daily. This blush and contour kit blends so well and lasts all day!

I love looking like a have been at the beach year round but I don't always like using the tanning bed. So I have been laying off the tanning bed and found a great new self tanner called  St. Moriz tanner in medium. I put this on at night after a shower and I sleep in it. I wash it off in the morning and I am one shade darker. No streaking and it fades all at once.

I am loving that next month is the month of LOVE oh yeah and the 50 shades of gray movie is coming out... I would love to have my own Mr.Gray in my bedroom.

xoxo

Thrift shopping

Thrift shopping can be the best and worst shopping experience in your life. You either find cool, trendy, unique and vintage pieces or you end up wasting your time shifting through clothes. I personally enjoy what I call the "hunt". Yes, while thrift shopping I feel like I am hunting for a rare animal! I always went to second hand stores as a child not because I wanted to but because my mom couldn't always afford new clothing. However it taught me that I could be dressed just as cool if not cooler than those who blew hundreds of dollars at the mall. Once I became an adult I went from going to Goodwill to going into second hand stores that sold higher end clothing. The method of finding perfect pieces was the same... I will forever be the huntress! Here are some key things to think about and do before you go on your thrift hunt. 1. See what you got!     Shop your own closet first. Do you have things that you never wear anymore? maybe to big or to small? If its in season...

E.L.F Disappointment

I am annoyed and disappointed! I LOVE my Makeup Forever HD setting powder and I have mentioned it in my past favorites but honestly I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I have seen awesome reviews for the HD setting powder made by E.L.F. I was not impressed with the packaging. I opened the box and took off the plastic cover, that day I used the powder was fine. The next day however when I went to open the container there was a mess everywhere. As a hair stylist I wear a lot of black and this shit got all over me! I was so annoyed with the powder being everywhere that I didn't even use the product. I'm sure it works great if you can get past the mess and horrible packaging... so that means I am still on the hunt for a hidef setting powder! Xoxo Samantha
