Date Night Review- Hot Suppa!

So per our regular date night routine the husband and I went to a local hot spot in Portland called Hot Suppa. I work near by and have been wanting to try it for some time but was unable to convince myself to. So when the husband said that he was "taking me out somewhere" and we started walking toward the restaurant I could feel my inside getting all excited. Walking inside I discovered that the place was a lot smaller than I thought. Getting a quick glance I saw that there were about 15 tables, maybe less and a small bar that sat a few people. The husband had been watching BBQ specials on Netflix and was determined to get some great pulled pork so he already knew what he was getting. I on the other hand glanced over the menu and checked out the specials. I noticed that it was somewhat pricy being around 10-20 dollars per meal. We both order a drink special called creole something...I forgot. It was vodka infused with cranberry topped off with champagne, honestly the champagne ruined the whole drink for me. So when it came to ordering our food I went straight for the poutine, which was amazing!!!!! I then ordered fried chicken with collar greens. It took a little bit for our food to come out but fast for a Friday  night. It was also very loud in the restaurant but I did not mind. The husband got the pulled pork sandwich with corn bread and cole saw. The corn bread was extra but the cole slaw came with the meal. I loved my chicken, it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The collar greens were perfect! My husband on the other hand did not like his pulled pork. The sandwich came with no sauce but they had three homemade sauces that you could choose from, he just didn't like any of the choices. My husband also did not like the way they cooked the corn bread, in a cask iron pan.The waitress was wonderful, my husband expressed not liking his food and without hesitation she offered to remove the meal. It is not that my husband hated the food it was just he was not used to the way it was cooked. I on the other hand loved the food and loved the cooking. The wait staff were wonderful and the restaurant was a cute little place which we both agree that we will be returning to.

Drug Store Foundations

THE BATTLE OF THE FINDING THE PERFECT FOUNDATION So for some odd reason I got it in my head that in the middle of winter with my skin being dry, flaky and breaking out would be the PERFECT time to try new foundations! So I grabbed my coupons and shopped at my local Walgreens and Rite Aid. Walking through the makeup section can be overbearing because there are so many different kinds of foundations on the market. You have full coverage, ageless, photo finish it can be a little annoying honestly. Over the last month or so I tried six different foundations which can all be found at your local drug store. Before we move on I should say that I don't like a luminous finish. I like my foundation and face to be overall matte. My skin right now is dry from it being winter but I also at times can look like I have an oil slick on my face. Each foundation I did use the Two Faced Hangover Primer. ...
