Essie Magnetic Nail Polish- Review

Welcome to my first review...and this is how it all went down.

Walking through my local Rite-Aid with my fab husband I stopped in my tracks and became very distracted by Essie's new Magnetic nail polish... I am such a fan of cute nails and I just had to get it. I begged the husband ha ha not really. So I picked up this nail polish with such high hopes not only because I LOVE ESSIE nail polish but also because it was 12.99, for that price this polish should be amazing right?? I have NEVER in my life paid that much for nail polish but I really wanted to try it.
So I got on the polish train.... this is my before picture

Not to bad, my nails are a little dirty :(  I have always had short natural nails. I tried getting my nails done  but for me having short nails works the best. PLUS when I am bored I like to change my nail polish... So when I first tried this I put on my normal one coat and let it dry a bit and then put on a second coat. Then I held the magnet over my nail. I have really small nails and this part was very difficult for me. The magnet hit my nail smudging my polish a few different times. Then because you have to put such a thick coat on  for the polish to actually take its shape it began to loose the snake like appearance once I moved the magnet away.

So after about three tries I finally got all my nails done....waiiiiiit for it

BAM

First of all I would like to say that this is not a user friendly product, not one bit. I had such a hard time doing my nails. Then I cleaned off the magnet with WHAT ELSE>>>>NAIL POLISH REMOVER and now my magnet does not work AT ALL. Essie needs to rethink how people use this product, or charge maybe 4.99 for the polish but not almost 13 bucks! It is a rip off and I will not buy this again unless they redo the product and make it easier to use.

This does not get my vote!

Thrift shopping

Thrift shopping can be the best and worst shopping experience in your life. You either find cool, trendy, unique and vintage pieces or you end up wasting your time shifting through clothes. I personally enjoy what I call the "hunt". Yes, while thrift shopping I feel like I am hunting for a rare animal! I always went to second hand stores as a child not because I wanted to but because my mom couldn't always afford new clothing. However it taught me that I could be dressed just as cool if not cooler than those who blew hundreds of dollars at the mall. Once I became an adult I went from going to Goodwill to going into second hand stores that sold higher end clothing. The method of finding perfect pieces was the same... I will forever be the huntress! Here are some key things to think about and do before you go on your thrift hunt. 1. See what you got!     Shop your own closet first. Do you have things that you never wear anymore? maybe to big or to small? If its in season...

Ride or Die

I am a little late with the "Ride or Die" tag, but I have always done things on my own time. I cannot take credit for this tag, let us thank Jaclyn Hill for that! So trying to narrow this down was actually really hard! I often switch up what a use from day to day, however when I thought about it, just I try new thing but there are my staples that I go back to time and time again.  Enough talk on with the list.
